请问社友，Shell Hardening是什么工艺？
在一论文中见到的，说轴承热处理。

个人理解是表面高硬度，心部高韧性及一定的强度。

问了一个材料专家，答复如下：
Shell hardening means only the surface layer was hardened, the core was not completely to martensite. So, it will have high compressive residual stress on the surface like inductive hardening.
For example--limited hardenability steel TSH.
